Description
The sera UV-C systems are universally applicable, particularly powerful and suitable for use on ponds and aquariums.
UV-C light does not occur on earth, but is pure space radiation. Therefore, no organisms have been able to adapt to this hard radiation in the course of evolution, neither pathogens (bacteria, viruses, fungi), parasites nor spreading stages of thread algae. UV-C systems take advantage of this and improve the living conditions and health of the aquarium animals through their use in/at the filtration. Bacterial turbidity and green water in the pond are efficiently prevented.
These systems briefly irradiate water flowing past them with UV-C radiation. The devices have a UV-C emitting lamp, which is protected by a high-quality quartz glass tube and surrounded by the water to be irradiated. The water enters through one connection and exits the unit through the opposite one. The multi-adapters allow the connection of different hose diameters. Replacing the particularly effective PL-UV-C lamp is simple. The end pieces with hose connections can be rotated so that connected hoses can be kept as short as possible.
The systems are available in different sizes for every need (see table). They are connected via a hose to a pump with the appropriate capacity. The UV-C systems are equipped with particularly energy-saving lamps and gentle electronic ballasts.
