If you are planning a move or simply want to move your jellyfish aquarium, you should do it the right way.
Remove jellyfish
You can take your jellyfish out of the aquarium for 1 – 2 days without any problems. Place the jellyfish, with plenty of water from the aquarium, in a normal fish transport bag. This should contain no air if possible (just as you received your jellyfish). At best, you use a second bag for safety.
If the jellyfish are exposed to a longer transport, you should transport them in an insulated container (e.g. polystyrene box).
If the aquarium is changed at home, you do not have to take all the water out of the aquarium.
Make sure that the filter material and the activated carbon bag always remain under water. If these should ever come into contact with air you can no longer use them.
If the aquarium has to be completely emptied, you will need new filter material and a new activated carbon bag when you refill the aquarium.
Convert the aquarium
Now place the aquarium in the desired place, refill the removed water and carefully reinsert the jellyfish. More information in “Your jellyfish aquarium in 3 steps”
Long transport
If you are preparing the aquarium for a long transport it is best to dry it as much as possible and put it back into its original packaging. Because the aquarium is thus optimally protected against transport damage. We therefore recommend that you keep the original packaging.
Attention: If you transport objects inside the aquarium, make sure that they are well packed to avoid scratching the aquarium, especially the filter stones can scratch the aquarium due to their rough surface.
